The farmhouse, barn and outbuildings of La Grand'Ferme were converted into a French language residential centre for British school groups in 1999. Since then, the comfortable centre has become a firm favourite of French teachers from the UK. With its own playing fields, hammocks, beach volleyball court, heated pool and modern accommodation, La Grand'Ferme provides the perfect base for language groups wanting to explore the historic area surrounding UNESCO World Heritage Site Mont Saint-Michel.
*Teachers are responsible for supervising students in the pool. We cannot provide a lifeguard.
The centre comprises two self-contained accommodations each with its own playing field, dining room and teacher area. The centre also has a heated outdoor pool, games room for evening activities, a large conservatory and extensive grounds.
The Farmhouse, the main building at La Grand'Ferme, can accommodate up to 61 students in modern, ensuite bunk rooms. There is also space for up to 10 teachers, with some single rooms. The Farmhouse has its own dining room and conservatory and students have access to a large wooden decking area, covered BBQ, boules area, volleyball court, football pitches and several picnic tables.
The Petit Gîte can accommodate up to 61 students in comfortable, ensuite bunk rooms. There is also space for up to 3 teachers. The Petit Gîte is separate from the Farmhouse with its own dining room, communal area, games court and car park and is accessible for disabled guests. Groups staying at the Petit Gîte have access to a boules pitch, volleyball court, football pitches and several picnic tables.
